A native Gmail app was a stupid idea in the first place. Two reasons:
1. Gmail already has a very nice mobile web interface. Creating a home-screen bookmark for it essentially does the same thing as the app!
2. iOS has an AWESOME email client baked in. I am yet to see a third party app capable of competing with it. Just hook up your Gmail to your iOS email app. Easy, and better than the app Google made!
